with Alexandra BRÎNZAC: “For me, clay is a living organism that breathes and carries its own memory.”

Alexandra Brînzac is a multidisciplinary artist based in Cluj-Napoca whose practice explores the relationship between identity, materiality, instinct, and the power structures that shape human experience.

Initially trained in the field of collectible design and later graduating with a Master’s degree in Sculpture from the University of Art and Design in Cluj-Napoca, the artist builds her works through an intuitive, compulsive, and organic process, in which clay, ceramics, stone, metal, glass, and other materials become tools for research and expression.

Interview with Bianca SERENCIUC: “Textile is the way a story acquires tone and sensibility”

With a background in textile design and sculpture, visual artist Bianca Serenciuc explores socio-ecological themes such as the exploitation of animals and the environment, seeking to emphasize the importance of humanity’s relationship with other species, as well as its connection to nature. She often develops these subjects through a reversal of roles.

Her works have been presented in exhibitions including Diploma Show, “Young Blood” at Art Safari, “Cei noi/Graduate Curated” at the Museum of Recent Art in Bucharest, “Tremendum Grotesque Incursion” at UNA Galeria, and “Other Places” at Leilei Gallery.
