The curtain has come down on our 2024 Irish tour of . The overwhelming response from audiences in Galway, Longford, Ennis and Dublin has reaffirmed our belief in the power of theatre to change how people think about disability, shift perspectives and also entertain.
No Magic Pill was written by Christian O'Reilly, directed by Raymond Keane and developed in collaboration with dramaturg and disability consultant, Peter Kearns, who also performs in the show.
Bravo to the incredible cast - Sorcha Curley, Eric Fitzgerald, Mark Fitzgerald, Peter Kearns, Ferdia MacAonghusa and Julie Sharkey - and to the wider creative team Ger Clancy (set), Sarah Jane Shiels (lighting), Suzie Cummins (relighter), Deirdre Dwyer (costumes), Trevor Knight (music and sound design) and Rachel Parry (movement). Special thanks also to Marie Tierney (production manager), Sarah Keane (technical manager), Ruby Collin (stage manager), Sarah Mooney (ASM) and all the crew behind the scenes.
was produced by Christian O'Reilly, who also wrote the play. Christian worked with disability rights activist Martin Naughton as a lobbyist in 1995. No Magic Pill is a celebration of his life and Martin's spirit has been with us every step of the way.
