Indian Cultural Centre (ICC) organized a Community Farewell in honor of Mrs. Usha Ravishankar – ICC Managing Committee Member (2002–2004 & 2008–2012) and Mr. Ravi Shankar – ICC Auditor (2005–2006 & 2007–2008) on Monday, 11th May 2026 at ICC Mumbai Hall.
ICC General Secretary Mr. Abraham K. Joseph welcomed the guests and dignitaries, followed by opening remarks from Ms. Nandini Abbagouni, ICC Head of Cultural Activities. ICC Head of External Activities Ms. Purvi Shroff introduced the guests. ICC President Mr. A.P. Manikantan delivered the presidential address highlighting the valuable contributions and dedicated service rendered by Mrs. Usha Ravishankar and Mr. Ravi Shankar towards the growth and development of the Indian Cultural Centre over the years.
ICC Advisory Council Chairman Mr. P. N. Babu Rajan, ICC Past Presidents Mr. M. I. Farid and Mrs. Milaan Arun offered felicitation addresses acknowledging the sincere commitment, leadership, and support extended by the couple to the Indian community in Qatar.
As a token of gratitude and appreciation, Mrs. Usha Ravishankar and Mr. Ravi Shankar were presented with plaques of appreciation. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by ICC Vice President Mr. Shantanu Deshpande.
In their farewell address, Mrs. Usha Ravishankar and Mr. Ravi Shankar expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Embassy of India, ICC Management, members, and the Indian community in Qatar for the support, friendship, and memorable experiences they received during their long association with the organization.
