Pinta-se um pedaço de madeira, ostenta-se uma vitória moral de trazer por casa e segue-se para o dancefloor de consciência lavada. Como se uma pincelada de cosmética apagasse o terror colonial, os bombardeamentos diários e a limpeza étnica perpetrada pelo Estado de Israel. Isso não é protesto; é masturbação egoica de quem precisa de encenar virtude sem nunca arriscar o conforto da sua festa.

Há quem acredite que, para subir no mundo da música electrónica, é preciso apagar convicções, suavizar posições e aceitar em silêncio tudo aquilo que o sistema impõe. Mas o Dj_Red nunca foi construído dessa forma.
Num tempo em que a cultura é cada vez mais instrumentalizada por interesses políticos, económicos e por redes de influência ligadas à militarização e à normalização do sionismo dentro da indústria cultural, manter uma posição crítica tornou-se, por si só, um acto de coragem. E é precisamente essa coerência que define o percurso do Dj_Red.
Não existe palco grande o suficiente, cachet alto o suficiente ou evento “importante” o suficiente que justifique abdicar da própria consciência. A música electrónica nasceu da ruptura, da resistência, da liberdade criativa e da recusa em obedecer cegamente. Transformá-la num espaço de silêncio cúmplice perante guerras, propaganda e perseguições políticas é trair a própria essência da cultura underground.
O Dj_Red não deixará de ser quem é para agradar a promotores, tendências ou pressões externas. E muito menos ficará estático quando é alvo de insultos pessoais, tentativas de intimidação ou campanhas de descredibilização. Defender-se não é extremismo; é dignidade. Ter voz não é radicalismo; é humanidade.
Quem exige neutralidade absoluta perante injustiças está, muitas vezes, apenas a exigir submissão. Mas há artistas que recusam ajoelhar-se. Que preferem perder oportunidades a perder identidade. Que entendem que a integridade vale mais do que qualquer alinhamento conveniente.
O Dj_Red continuará a fazer aquilo que sempre fez: Dj Set com verdade, intervenção com consciência e resistência sem máscara. Porque nenhum evento vale mais do que a própria dignidade. E nenhum reconhecimento vale o preço de deixar de ser quem se é.

At a time when culture is increasingly being instrumentalised by political and economic interests, and by networks of influence tied to militarisation and the normalisation of Zionism within the cultural industry, maintaining a critical position has itself become an act of courage. And it is precisely that consistency which defines Dj_Red’s path.
There is no stage big enough, no fee high enough, and no “important” event significant enough to justify abandoning one’s conscience. Electronic music was born from rupture, resistance, creative freedom, and the refusal to obey blindly. To turn it into a space of complicit silence in the face of war, propaganda, and political persecution is to betray the very essence of underground culture.
Dj_Red will not stop being who he is in order to please promoters, trends, or external pressures. And even less will he remain silent when faced with personal insults, intimidation attempts, or campaigns of discredit. Defending oneself is not extremism; it is dignity. Having a voice is not radicalism; it is humanity.
Those who demand absolute neutrality in the face of injustice are, more often than not, simply demanding submission. But there are artists who refuse to kneel. Who would rather lose opportunities than lose their identity. Who understand that integrity is worth more than any convenient alignment.
Dj_Red will continue to do what he has always done: DJ sets with truth, intervention with conscience, and resistance without a mask. Because no event is worth more than one’s own dignity. And no recognition is worth the price of ceasing to be who you are.
