Iniciamos com a exposição "Paisagens Interiores" de Anna Townley. Inauguração dia 21 de Março, 15h, em simultâneo com o Abelha - Mercado de Arte
Sobre a exposição, nas palavras da artista:
The artworks in this exhibition at Pudim Studio have all been made within the last year and form part of a series of work where I have been pursuing a new way of making. After spending many years drawing and painting landscapes from observation, I have turned my attention to the inner landscapes of the body. I am responding directly to emotion and the inner images the body holds. The forms, colours, and compositions emerge spontaneously, in the moment of action — the brush meeting the paper before thought intervenes. It’s a new and exhilarating way of working for me — a dialogue with the invisible light of intuition and feeling. As I bring forth the inner images and sensations my body holds I find that in painting them, I am having the extra benefit of soothing the soul.
Anna Townley was born in England and has attended art schools in Edinburgh, London and Norwich. She has lived in Portugal with her family for the last 5 years and currently has a studio at MACS, Rua Boavista, Porto.
