Cidade Saturada
Em 2011, em Portugal, durante intercâmbio acadêmico na Universidade do Porto, lancei meu olhar de transeunte estrangeiro sobre as ruas portuenses e produzi três séries fotográficas: Ruas Cinzas, Cidade Saturada e Voos Verdes.
Na fotografia digital, variações aleatórias de cores que não correspondem ao assunto fotografado são chamadas de “ruído”, normalmente evitado e considerado indesejável.
Cidade Saturada intensifica o ruído nas fotografias, principalmente pelo aumento da saturação, fazendo emergir cores escondidas nos arquivos digitais, imprevisíveis e incontroláveis como o crescimento das cidades; intensifica o indesejável para tentar, através da imagem materializada, fazer ouvir e sentir o ruído e a saturação das ruas.

Saturated City
In 2011, in Portugal, while in an academic exchange programme with the University of Porto, through the eyes of a foreign passer-by I produced three photographic series: Grey Streets, Saturated City, and Green Flights.
In digital photography, random colour variations, which are unrelated to the subject being photographed, are referred to as noise, something that is usually avoided and considered undesirable.
Saturated City highlights noise in the shots, mainly through the increase of saturation, it makes hidden colours from the digital files become visible, they are unpredictable and unstoppable like the growth of cities; they intensify the undesirable to attempt, through the materialised imagery, to feel and listen to the noise and saturation of the streets.
