MEET OUR ARTISTIC DIRECTOR — SANDRA CANOSSA 🩰
A life dedicated to dance, education, excellence and the stage.
From her first dance classes at Academia Canossa to an international career as a dancer, teacher and examiner, Sandra Canossa has built a life around dance and education.
She was the first Portuguese member of the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Panel of Examiners, serving from 2018 to 2026 and examining internationally across Portugal, England, Singapore, Cyprus, Türkiye, Spain, Malaysia, Germany, Switzerland, Italy and Brazil.
Today, Sandra has chosen to dedicate herself fully to Academia Fernanda Canossa, continuing the school founded by her mother, Fernanda Canossa, in 1978.
Her vision is to create a place where students can grow through dance from childhood to adulthood — where every student is respected as an individual, with their own pace, body, ambitions and goals.
Because excellence in dance education should also exist within our local community, here in Porto. 🤍
