We are happy to announce that we will be doing our first live ONLINE workshops.

On Saturday 2 May we will be offering a 90 minute version of our Natural Wood Stains workshop and the following Saturday 9 May we will be hosting a 90 minute version of our Natural Wood Finishes workshop.

You can sign up for one workshop or both workshops together for a discount.

Both workshops will be happening at 5 pm Lisbon time (GMT +1) and will be recorded and sent to all attendees via email after the live workshop is over.

Join us for our Natural Wood Finishes workshop on Saturday 11 April. In this workshop you will be introduced to 4 different naturally derived finishes that can be used to handle all your wood finishing needs. At the end of the workshop you will walk away with material preparation instructions, detailed guidance on application and hands-on experience working with all four finishes on their own and in combination with each other to achieve the look, feel and level of protection you seek for your projects.

On Saturday 28 March we bring back our beloved Wasted cocktail event to close out our APPARATUS exhibition.

With Wasted we take what normally gets thrown out in our personal kitchen and put it center stage in each of these carefully crafted cocktail & mocktail recipes. Come and try our new seasonal offerings featuring syrups, bitters, shrubs & garnishes made from leftover peels, stems and more.

This will also be the last opportunity to see the 12 unique hook creations on display as part of our APPARATUS exhibition. Each hook is made from a minimum of 80% found, repurposed or waste materials with the only requirement that they fulfill the simple utilitarian purpose of functioning as a hook to hang something from.

This weekend we will begin our latest offering of our “Build Your Own Lamp” workshop. During this workshop participants will create the customizable and multifunctional PASSAGE table lamp design by , made from natural concrete. This workshop also includes the option to create the custom wooden mold using a variety of different tools in our woodworking studio. Participants will learn how to prepare and set the mixture, how to maintain it during the curing phase, how to complete basic electrical wiring for a lamp and more.

APPARATUS is an exhibition that challenges artists to explore the intersection of function and art. We seek to showcase how discarded materials can be transformed into objects of purpose, beauty and narrative. Each piece must not only be a compelling sculpture but also serve the simple, utilitarian purpose of a hook.
