Rita Braga presents Fado Tango, the first glimpse of her upcoming album Fado Tropical, to be released in 2026.

Inspired by a 1930 recording by fado singer and actress Ercília Costa, Fado Tango revives a forgotten classic with elegant, cinematic arrangements featuring Rita’s voice and ukulele, Ryoko Imai’s marimba, Bruna Moura’s cello, and João Cabrita’s saxophone.

The video, directed by Joana Linda, pays tribute to the forgotten voices of pioneering women in fado - from 19th-century street singers to early 20th-century r***e actresses.
