Hi all, how would you all feel about Thursdays for choir? Is that better than Mondays? I have a full day teaching on Mondays at the international school so Thursday might be better as I could do the instrumental group first. Thoughts?

Ok I've seen that other choirs are rehearsing again so I'm happy to start our rehearsals! Casa Bô is having some work done on their roof but we can use an amazing space they have in Gaia called Mafamood. I went the other week and it's fantastic. It has an auditorium, other large performance spaces, a restaurant and a wonderful garden with bread oven, stage and organic veggies. It's at Rua do Telhado 265, Dom João ll and Santa Ovídio metros are a couple of mins walk.
An idea of numbers would be great so I can work out distancing etc but the space is pretty huge so we should be fine. We can rehearse in the garden too.
So excited to see you all again!

Hi all, hope you’re safe and well! My friend Choden is a monk here, also on lockdown at Samye Ling. He’s running an online meditation course on Sunday. I’d highly recommend it- I’ve known him for years and he’s great at explaining meditation in a really clear way that even my blonde brain can tolerate! Check it out- it would be really useful in these stressful times.

Hi all, two bits of big news- I am finally better and I have moved to Porto! So we can start February at the wonderful Casa Bô tomorrow night at 7.30. We will be working on Cecilia and Panis Angelicus, which sounded so beautiful at the last rehearsal. Here’s a lovely version. See you tomorrow at 7.30. Beijinhos xx
Oh and it’s my birthday on Thursday so we can have a little celebration and stay for some poetry afterwards if you’d like to ❤
