We’re not physically at Gamescom this year, but a little bit of Teknamic is. 🙂

A short trailer for Devwill on the Sega Master System, featuring one of our upcoming physical releases, is being shown at the Associação de Produtores de Videojogos Portugueses (APVP) stand, alongside other games and projects from Portugal.

Devwill is a game by Paulo Andrés, aka Amaweks, a Brazilian creator who frequently collaborates with us, and with whom we share a very similar cultural and artistic vision of what new games for classic platforms can be. Not only nostalgia, but also expression, identity and preservation, often rooted in the culture and shared references of the Portuguese-speaking world.

It is always nice to see one of our projects represented at an event like Gamescom, even if we are only there through a few seconds of video. 🙂

Thank you to APVP for giving Portuguese games, studios and publishers this space.

A small update on one of the Teknamic releases we are particularly fond of.

The physical ZX Spectrum edition of TCQ will be back in stock in the next few days.

At the same time, shipping has already started for the MSX cartridge edition. The MSX edition is deliberately small: fewer than 50 copies were produced, and there will be no second print run.

TCQ is one of those projects where we wanted the physical edition to be more than simply a way of distributing the game.

The visual language created by Amaweks extends into the cassette, the packaging and, in the MSX version, the UV-printed cartridge itself.

For us, it has become a flagship release and a good example of the kind of physical publishing we enjoy at Teknamic: small runs, attention to the object itself, and room to experiment.

The ZX edition will be available again very soon.

The MSX editions are already on their way.
