The rhythm of repetition.
Much of my foundational training as a potter was deeply rooted in production.
I've always considered repetition as so much more than a task; it is the core of the process.
It's a demanding skill that takes years to master, but it prepares the mind and hands for far more than simply creating identical forms.
Repetition is an intensive masterclass in technique, efficiency, and speed. But above all, it grants the rare ability to zone out, to quiet the noise and forget everything around you the moment your hands touch the spinning clay.
While every ceramicist finds their own anchor, this is precisely what captivates me about production: the profound, meditative peace found within the rhythm.
