Three new pieces have been added to my Algarve-inspired series Impressões de Loulé, now available at Colectivo 28 here in Loulé. These three are made with acrylic painted papers, printed papers, and postage stamps collaged on wood blocks 15 x 15cm.

I am so gratified by the response by visitors to this collage series (which includes works on wood blocks and on paper) and hope that my work reminds them of pleasant holidays here in the Algarve.

Two more items sold, this time at ! 🙏 These wooden blocks with collage art on each side, 15x15cm and 10x15cm, are meant to be displayed on a shelf or tabletop. The collage art is inspired by the history, art, and culture of the lovely Algarve region. 🌞

My Algarve series of collages on paper and on wood blocks has found an ideal home at Colectivo 28! I could not be more pleased.

This collage series was inspired by my love of my home here in Loulé. The soft pastels and sunbaked textures of the Algarve ruins are captured in three-dimensional ‘old wall’ style painted papers. Touches of wrought iron detail and 'azulejos' tiles reflect the graciousness and beauty that combine with a warm and sunny climate to make this region the peaceful escape that residents and visitors enjoy so much.

I'll be participating in Loulé's Fine Arts Exhibition again this year, with two Loulé-themed collage pieces! I hope local friends and visitors will stop by - I know it will be a great show.

A Casa da Cultura de Loulé, em colaboração com o Município de Loulé, irá organizar mais uma edição da Mostra de Artes Plásticas do Concelho de Loulé. A edição de 2025 acontecerá novamente no Convento de Santo António, em Loulé, entre os dias 9 de maio e 7 de junho.
A participação neste evento está aberta a todos os artistas naturais ou residentes no concelho de Loulé, independentemente da sua formação ou trajetória artística.

This is so appalling. FB's rules now explicitly allow such demeaning speech. Why?? We need some new alternative platforms. It is especially difficult for artists to abandon Instagram, so I'm still there, for now... 😡

I'll be at the Museu do Traje Spring Fair in São Bras on Sunday, with lots of Algarve-inspired collage minis, including collage art on wood blocks for your bookshelf and on silver hooks for your earlobes!
