The SpaceShip Project

The SpaceShip Project The SPACESHIP PROJECT merges the art of scannography with a dedicated approach to the study of the stars. Here you can see the Stars and the Constellations.

Geometry os Che linguagem of the Universe - Nature os the book - The SpaceShip takes notes Scanography (also spelled scannography), more commonly referred to as scanner photography, is the process of capturing digitized images of objects for the purpose of creating printable art using a flatbed "photo" scanner with a CCD (charge-coupled device) array capturing device. Fine art scanography differs

from traditional document scanning by using atypical objects, often three-dimensional, as well as from photography, due to the nature of the scanner's operation. According to the second hermetic principle of Correspondence “As above, so below; as below, so above”, I've chosen the flowers to illustrate the stars. I consider also that the cumulative effect of sacred geometry is the connection between the microcosm and the macrocosm

Using floral elements and geometric shapes (leaves, flowers, colours), each star describes the constellation's nature reassembling their deep relation with the elements ( fire, water, earth, air) and the asters ( Moon - Venus - Mercury - Sun - Mars - Jupiter - Saturn). Other works include the Elements, the Planets, and the Planets in the Signs.

The process starts with Selecting the flowers, before moving on to the phases of Collecting, Scanning, Cutting, Cleaning, Studying, Reassembling, and Exporting. The Stars are then ready to go to Space and reproduce the 12 constellations that the Sun meets in its great ecliptic circle. The creative process was careful and slow - a way to study and aesthetically reinterpret the meaning of the celestial bodies.

There’s something meditative about it… arranging every detail, hitting that button, and watching light turn everyday things into art. 🌿🎨

Found a Dedaleira 🌸 while exploring Peneda-Gerês — one of the most iconic flowers in the park!
Known in Celtic mythology for its magical link to fairies 🧚‍♀️, it was said to transport anyone who touched it into the fairy realm.

Perfect subject for my next scanography piece — mixing folklore and art ✨📠

🌌♋ Cancer season is here!
The Cancer constellation — subtle, sensitive, and full of cosmic energy. Often overlooked due to its faint stars, but deeply powerful in astrology and myth. ✨💫

Ruled by the Moon 🌙 and connected to emotions, intuition, and home — Cancer reminds us to nurture, reflect, and feel deeply.

🔭 Have you ever spotted it in the night sky?

♋ Drop a 🦀 if you're a proud Cancer or love someone who is!.
