Rather than relying on assumptions or anecdotal opinions, the objective is to produce evidence-based insights that can help the entire diving industry understand the barriers, motivations, perceptions, and expectations of potential future divers.
The survey is not intended to measure current divers' satisfaction, but rather to understand the people who have not yet entered the sport, especially younger generations.
For years, the diving community has debated questions like:
"Young people aren't interested anymore."
"Certification is too expensive."
"People don't have time."
"The industry isn't reaching new audiences."
This survey provides an opportunity to determine which of these assumptions are actually supported by data—and which are not. That evidence can help the industry make better decisions about training, marketing, product development, communication, and accessibility.
