The Sardine God is not a myth – she’s called Catarina and she used to run the small tasca that changed how we think about sardines. One simple grill, a few tables and fish that are only truly amazing for a short window each year. I’ve brought that story back for Santo Antonio 2026.

By summer, the Cova do V***r story turns into a script we use at reception: quick explanation, a few warnings (waves, wind, crowds on holidays), and a clear route from Graça to the village. It’s one of the clearest examples of how we use storytelling as a practical guest tool.

From a traveller’s perspective, the route to Mouraria’s Chinese restaurants is part of the experience design. You don’t follow a big sign – you read small clues: red lanterns in upstairs windows, people ringing buzzers, narrow corridors leading to family kitchens.
