Our recent collective project with Waking Life 🩵
“Mudança.”
Meaning “change” or “evolution”, is a floating installation composed of seven interconnected structures inspired by the life cycle of the butterfly.
From the womb, to the eggs, the caterpillars, the chrisylis, the butterfly and the shell, each installation represents a different stage of transformation. 🐛
The project reflects both the shifting landscape and the evolving experience of the festival itself.
As the festival progresses through its phases, Mudança mirrors this temporal transition, revealing how both landscape and participants change over time.
The installations are designed as open, tactile spaces that can be
entered, touched, and used in multiple ways, forming a narrative landscape that visitors move through, interact with, and interpret at their own pace.
The design and construction draw inspiration from natural systems, as well as historical building methods based on natural materials and collective making practices.
