This one is for anyone who can’t imagine life without music… 😯
While painting this piece, I realised that sometimes I negotiate with darkness. I think many of us do in many ways.
Sometimes through conversations.
Sometimes through art.
And sometimes through a song someone we love sends us at exactly the right moment.
Before them, it’s just music.
After them, it becomes a place you can return to. A reminder of who you were, what you felt, what you hoped for. Even years later, a few familiar notes can pull an entire chapter of your life back into the room.
The song stays the same.
But every time you hear it, you’re negotiating with a different version of yourself.
That’s what this painting feels like to me.
Not darkness as something to defeat, but something to sit with. To revisit. To make peace with. To find meaning inside.
Because some things never sound the same again once they’ve been touched by love… ❤️❤️
