Motherhood
-
22 weeks pregnant today and fascinated with the organic transformation my body has been experiencing since February. Each day bringing new physical sensations, states of mind, and memories. This slow (yet so fast?) journey has so far been pretty smooth with mild symptoms, a distracted mind and an increased appreciation for food. I have felt invited to (re)visit hidden emotions, shadows and painful life episodes while simultaneously allowing myself to welcome unconditional love, nurturing and vulnerability into my life. At 35, I am beyond grateful that I got to prepare for this new chapter of my life long before conception as I was privileged to have time to ponder and explore whether motherhood would be a desirable path and if so, how it would look like for me?
My heart is with all those who don’t get this opportunity and are either forced to embark into this initiation or prevented from accessing it 🤍
