Thanks to everyone who participated in Workshop 1 and 5 over the last seven days. And thank you to the and for helping make this happen.

We took risks, got connected and did the hard work. Well done!

Workshop 1-Foundation of Meisner Technique is coming to Lisbon this December!

The Meisner Technique is a popular acting technique that emphasizes the importance of listening and responding to your scene partner. It’s a great way to improve your acting skills or begin working on your craft.
During this workshop, you’ll learn how to connect to your scene partner, how to stay present in the moment and how to respond truthfully under imaginary circumstances.

We will also be working with scripts on the last day of class so you can see how you can apply this to your performances.

In Workshop 3, we will introduce “Emotional Preparation”. This is a technique where actors alter their inner emotional condition off-stage before they enter the scene to create an emotional state that’s appropriate to the circumstances that happened before the scene begins. The actor draws their emotional preparation from their imagination, which is a very healthy way to do so. You will learn a specific process of how to use your imagination (using real people and things that have real meaning to you to alter your emotional condition). It’s a delicate journey of self-discovery and worth every step!

* This workshop is suitable for actors who have taken workshop 1 and 2 with Steven or have equal training with the Meisner technique
