Massive shout out to Rabbit . I worked with Rabbit in Lisbon when I was Orgsurfboards laminator. Rabbit is a master shaper and good fun to work and surf with. And if he has the time he is always happy to help. I got an order for an upcoming competition surfer so I called him to see if he could give me some help on the design. No matter how good you get at something there are always people who know more and if you are lucky to get their help then you will only get better at what you do. Obrigado Rabbit 💪🏽💪🏽🙂

So this is a closer look at the changes I made to my 6’ thruster. I designed this board for good over head waves with plenty of power. Why did I make changes? I found unless I was perfectly positioned on the take off I was missing too many waves. I liked how it surfed on the wave face but also felt there was not enough volume in the rail under my front foot. Why did I end up with this problem, I let my ego influence the design process. 10 years ago this board would have been epic😂 If you check the second pic you can have a look at the major changes made. I added 2.5 L to the board. I took the outline and deck profile of my favourite twin pin and combined it with the rocker of this thruster while keeping the main dimensions the same. I added extra V just behind the rear fin to keep the agility of the smaller board. Let’s see …

Out with the old in with the new. Two new wips for me🙂🙂but why… long answer coming but the short answer is i believe I can make them better. Dose that mean these were not good? Of course not but as my own shaper I’m always critiquing my boards and trying to figure out how I can make them better. Let see …. So far I prefer the graphics on the old ones 😂
