LAST PLACES | ATLANTIC COAST CONDUCTING MASTERCLASS & COMPETITION 2026
The final days to apply are here — and only a few places remain for the X Atlantic Coast Conducting Masterclass & Competition.
This programme gives every Active Participant the opportunity to take part in the Atlantic Coast Conducting Competition, working and competing with a professional orchestra.
Throughout the week, conductors will have the opportunity to demonstrate not only their technical skills, but also their interpretative vision, artistic identity, leadership and ability to communicate with the orchestra.
CONDUCTING COMPETITION
All Active Participants are automatically admitted to the competition and will have the opportunity to compete for cash prizes.
The competition culminates in the Final Public Concert at Teatro Municipal de Vila do Conde, where all conductors will have the opportunity to perform before a live audience.
REPERTOIRE
Beethoven | Egmont Overture, Op. 84
Mendelssohn | Symphony No. 3 “Scottish”
Mendelssohn | Ruy Blas Overture, Op. 95
Brahms | Symphony No. 3, Op. 90
Under the guidance of Maestro Luis Miguel Clemente, participants will prepare for the competition through intensive podium sessions, individual feedback, video analysis and direct work with the Orquestra da Costa Atlântica.
