Woke up today and opened my morning brief like always. It was great. Clickable, helped me respond to tickets, kept my homelab up to date, tracked all my projects. It was fine.
But I wanted something cooler. More visually appealing.
So today it became an intergalactic information station. I open up a view of whatever planets I'm passing by and deal with the tasks at hand from there.
It wasn't easy. Took me all day. But for the past couple of months, that's kind of how I've been working anyway. Non stop.
I get a morning brief from my local AI, and it opens up like, I don't know, a spaceship, a bit of a Star Wars interface. I'm exaggerating, it's simpler than that. But then the HUD opens. Two main rows of tiles, one on top, one on the bottom, with a percentage count of everything I planned and how much of it is done.
There's a button for the HUD, a button for sound, and little ships pass by all day if I just want to watch and work through things from here.
Click the HUD off and the rest of the tiles show up underneath it. Tickets, comms, goals, projects, all of it.
End of the story, I finally built a functional and good looking command console for everything I have planned, everything I'm doing, and everything still coming.
