’The Bedroom Series’, by .painting

Given the fast-paced nature of the external world, the bedroom serves as a sanctuary for us to be ourselves, unwind, and reflect.
PLATO presents “The Bedroom Series”, a series of intimate paintings by artist Martîm, curated by Mariana Baião Santos, where people, veiled by history, are free to express the affections and complexities of the exercise of loving. The exhibition focuses on a couple that reflects the diversity of our time and the need to update the collective and historical imagination of portrait art. “The Bedroom Series” is a symbolic work that offers us a glimpse into the artist’s life through multiple interpretations.

The exhibition’s opening will be on January 13 at 6pm. It can be visited until February 9, 2024, from Tuesday to Friday, from 2 to 7pm (and Saturdays by appointment).
