" لمسة أمي" هو مشروع خيري وتعاوني أسسه الدكتور فائق عويس تخليدا لذكرى والدته التي ألهمت عشقه للفن والتطريز. ويهدف المشروع إلى تمكين ودعم النساء وخاصة الأمهات في ال
مخيمات والمجتمعات المهمشة وفي الحفاظ على فن التطريز والتراث الفلسطيني.
كل قطعة تجمع ما بين الشعر العربي وفن التطريز اليدوي الفلسطيني والخط العربي الكوفي من تصميم الدكتور فائق عويس، وقد استلهمنا اسم المشروع من شعر محمود درويش: أحن إلى خبز أمي وقهوة أمي ولمسة أمي.

Arabic Poetry in Calligraphy and Hand Embroidery
“Lamsat Unmmi”, is an initiative by Dr. Fayeq Oweis to empower women, especially mothers, in marginalized societies and refugee camps and to preserve the Palestinian art of embroidery. Each piece combines Arabic poetry with Kufic Arabic calligraphy designed by Fayeq Oweis and embroidered by hand. The name “Lamsat Ummi” means “My Mother’s Touch” and it was inspired by the poetry of Mahmoud Darwish: I yearn for the bread of my mother, her coffee and her touch.
