I’m Carmen, the artist behind CarmenArts—a self-taught,mostly abstract, creator based in Ramallah. I don’t start with a plan; I start with a feeling. Through bold colors, layered textures, and spontaneous movement, I explore what words often can’t express. While I don’t adhere to a specific style, my work aims to evoke curiosity and connection, inviting viewers to experience the freedom that comes
with abstract expression. Each painting I make is a reflection of my inner world—raw, vibrant, and constantly shifting. I use acrylics on cardboard and canvas to create pieces that feel alive, that invite people to pause and feel something personal in the chaos of color. It lets me be honest without needing to explain. My goal is to connect with others through atmosphere, emotion, and energy—letting the artwork speak for itself.
