[EN] Not much to show this end of the month. It has been an awfully busy week in the house and the job. But yesterday I decided to try this art challenge everyone is doing- I don’t know the name of the challenge and mostly is the artists doing their OCs with this pose. I’m just doing a simple reference drawing. If you know the name, let me know it to properly give it a hashtag.

[ES] No hay mucho que enseñar este fin de mes. Esta semana ha sido muy ocupada en la casa y el trabajo. Pero tuve tiempo ayer de hacer este reto de arte que todos están haciendo. No sé como se llama el reto, muchos artistas lo que hacen es poner a sus Personajes Originales en esta pose. Yo solo hago la referencia del retrato. Si saben cómo se llama el reto me dejan saber para etiquetarlo.

[ES] Decided to start using many of the art materials I’ve gathered over the years, using these oil pastels were a delight! The Zorn’s Palettte worked well. From a reference of Dani- I think her Instagram account was banned but feel free to seek her in telegram or x (Dania on telegram and on X)

[EN] Sorry for the lack of posts lately, ive been working hard with my jobs and travelling to the capital frequently. Due to my current schedules, it is hard for me to attemd to online sessions until november. In the meantime, im usi g more references and sketching whenever possible. For now, here's another sketch from Guadalupe, from a reference in her newsletter, done with Krita.

[ES] Lamento no haber subido posts últimamente, he estado trabajando mucho y viajando mucho a la capital. Debido a la carga que tengo ahora, se me hace dificil atender a sesiones en línea hasta noviembre. Mientras tanto, usp feferencias y boceteando cuando tenga un tiempito. Por ahora, aquí un boceto rápido de Guadalupe Montes de una referencia de su newsletter, hecho con Krita.

[EN] Another from the series of oil studies I’ve been making since my return to Spain, has the chance to see it in the Museo del Prado but by that time I didn’t had enough time to sketch it in site. Doesn’t look as much as the original but being the third oil sketch I did and the first portrait (and first portrait using the Zorn pallet) im very pleased.

[ES] otro cuadro de la serie de estudios al óleo que he estado haciendo desde mi regreso de España, tuve la oportunidad de ver el cuadro en persona en Museo Nacional del Prado pero no tenía suficiente tiempo para dibujar boceto in situ. No se parece mucho pero siendo la tercera pintura que hago y ser el primer retrato (y primer retrato que uso la Paleta de Zorn) estoy bastante contento.

[EN] The recent trip I did to Spain was one of my most exiting experiences I’ve ever had. Having the chance to go there physically and actually enter the Museo del Prado to see all the art that had inspired me ages ago was a blast I needed to fell in love with the arts as it was the first time.
I’ve made several studies from sketches I did in my trip, and here’s the first one: a study from “La Trinidad” del Greco.
The room was full of turists and had a very limited time but I managed to do a quick sketch of the legs of this angel, and after I arrived to Puerto Rico started to do an oil study -which I’m satisfied with for being a first study from a master.

[ES] El reciente viaje que hice a España fue una de las aventuras más excitantes que he tenido. Tener la oportunidad de ir ahí físicamente y entrar al Museo Nacional del Prado a ver el arte que me ha estado inspirando por tantos años fue la chispa que necesitaba para enamorarme del arte como si fuera la primera vez.
Hice varios estudios de los bocetos que hice en el viaje, y aquí está la primera: “La Trinidad” del Greco.
La sala estaba llena de turistas y con un tiempo bien limitado, pero logré hacer un boceto rápido de las piernas del ángel, y una vez llegué a Puerto Rico, empecé a hacer este estudio- de la cual estoy bastante satisfecho para ser mi primer estudio de un maestro.
