Friends, family, and art are the only things I’ve ever truly needed.
I am beyond grateful for the love I’ve received throughout my life: old friends who open their homes to me, new friends who create opportunities for me, and mentors who generously share everything they’ve learned. I truly couldn’t ask for more.
I have to remind myself of this because it’s so easy to lose sight of just how blessed I am.
I’m sharing this in the hope that whoever reads it also takes a moment to cherish what they do have instead of mourning what they don’t.

Los amigos, la familia y el arte son las únicas cosas que realmente he necesitado.
Me siento profundamente agradecido por todo el amor que he recibido a lo largo de mi vida: viejos amigos que me abren las puertas de su hogar, nuevos amigos que me brindan oportunidades y mentores que comparten conmigo todo lo que han aprendido. Sinceramente, no podría pedir más.
Tengo que recordármelo porque es muy fácil perder de vista lo bendecido que soy.
Comparto esto con la esperanza de que quien lo lea también se tome un momento para valorar lo que sí tiene, en lugar de lamentarse por lo que no tiene.
