Class of 2023 Junior Prom at the PAC

On May 18, 2019, the TASIS Dorado class of 2023 celebrated their Junior Prom where the PAC was transformed into a glamorous Hollywood Premiere Party! Our Bears, their families and guests, felt like superstars by walking the Red Carpet and striking a pose for the paparazzi, danced next to live golden statues, and sang with Bad Bunny and Lady Gaga impersonators. The evening began with the traditional parade; Principal Sara Hernández presented each 8th-grader, accompanied by a parent, while they walked on stage. Next, Mr. Garrison Knapp, after a warm welcome message, presented donation checks on behalf of the class of 2023 made to the Humane Society of Puerto Rico and The Jane Stern Community Library in Dorado for $1,000 each. These donations were made from class fundraising activities throughout the year.

The Class of 2023 would like to thank their 8th-grade teachers, advisors, administrators, staff and especially all the parents of the class of 2023 that gave their time, resources, or donations throughout the year.

The Princeton University Wildcats, an all-female a capella group, performed at our TASIS Dorado PAC for our middle and high school students. The Wildcats sang a mixed repertoire of popular songs from Adele to Ella Fitzgerald. After the performance, the group members spoke about their diverse backgrounds, educational goals and offered a Q & A session about college life at Princeton. The Orquesta Sinfónica of the Conservatorio de Música de Puerto Rico, under the baton of the legendary Roselin Pabón, will present a benefit concert, MÚSICA PARA TODOS, on Sunday, September 11th at 4 pm in the TASIS DORADO Performing Arts Center (PAC). This will be a tremendous opportunity to enjoy a variety of music from your favorite movies and video games such as Star Wars®, Super Mario Bros®, and Kingdom Hearts®, as well as classics ranging from Beethoven to Rossini. In addition, there will be a special performance from Los Tres Tenores de Puerto Rico, performing international pop classics from Bocelli. The showstopping Puerto Rican musicians Los Hermanos Sanz will round out this incredible evening. This will be a unique musical experience to enjoy with your family!

With an orchestra of over 70 musicians and a choir of 50 vocalists, MÚSICA PARA TODOS is an extraordinary way to share the beauty of symphonic music with your children.
