Ironman 70.3 Ohio Race Recap
(Pt.1) - They say a picture is worth 1,000 words, well… Coming outta the swim, you can tell my face said it all 🤪 Wasn’t my favorite part of the day. Although it was a beautiful morning and sunrise stellar sunrise on Lake Erie, the swim was a slow one. It was 45 minutes of battling my mind and the elements. The water temperature was nice and cool and it was deemed a wetsuit legal race just before race day, but I opted for the swim skin which was ok, but definitely would’ve loved more buoyancy and less sinking 😅 Those 45 felt eternal and I was just trying to stay as patient as possible and staying positive… In the words of Dory from Finding Nemo, I told myself, “Just Keep Swimming.” But when I saw the swim exit, I was VERY relieved to say the least!
