This week was world Creativity and Innovation day. Did you know kids will be more creative if you simply invite them to "be creative." Creative Summer isn’t a school program or a daycare. It’s a creative village. Kids play, make, and finish real work with working artists—then share it with an audience. The invitation is open...

We started the Wrocław Story Center because we believe kids and teens deserve spaces where their imaginations are taken seriously. Creative Summer is that, nine years going. Take a look.

Creative Summer is an English summer arts camp happening this July in Wrocław. Come take the mic and sing your heart out.

9 summers.
Creative Summer actually started before the Story Center opened its first exhibit.
And Creative Summer keeps going. Nine years of real work, real time, real growth. We’ve carried pieces of the same spirit forward: books on shelves to projects in motion.
Still here. Still building carefully.

9 SUMMERS.

Not a big fancy anniversary.
But still an achievement.

Nine years of making space for kids to try things, mess things up, and surprise themselves.

We’re still here 2018-2026.
Still curious.
Still building summer carefully.
Sign-up is open. Link in bio.

Creative Summer is an English-language arts day camp in Wrocław.

Inside it, we work in two ways — because children grow and change: Ages 5–7 A steady daily rhythm with close guidance. Ages 8–15 A choice-based day, where kids begin shaping their own work. Same values. Different structures — on purpose.
At the Story Center, this kind of work has always mattered to us:
spaces where children can spend real time with ideas, with materials, with each other.
We used to do it with books on shelves.
Now we do it through projects, workshops, and summer days.
It’s all part of the same effort —
building a caring community around art, language, and shared experience.

Creative Summer is an English-language arts day camp in Wrocław.

We run two age-based tracks:

The Playmakers (ages 5–7)
A steady daily rhythm with responsive teachers.

Creative Summer (ages 8–15)
A choice-based schedule — kids pick their workshops each block.

Same values.
Different structure - on purpose.

The Wrocław Children’s Museum space closed during the pandemic. But our work didn’t stop.

We’ve continued through projects like Shakespeare Club, Creative Summer, and other programs for kids and families.

This page now shares those ongoing projects.

The Quiet Tech Project

Start Here: Building the Stack
We’re beginning a new series called The Quiet Tech Project.
It’s an experiment inside our organization to answer a simple question:

What does it look like to build a creative life and small organization in a post–big tech world?

Over the past year we’ve been slowly replacing tools that collect data, push advertising, or lock organizations into complicated platforms.

Instead we’re exploring smaller, transparent, and often European-built tools that help us run our programs while respecting privacy and independence.

The first tool in our new stack is Fakturownia.

Fakturownia is a Polish invoicing platform that helps small organizations issue invoices, manage payments, and stay organized without the complexity of large corporate accounting systems.

For a small NGO like ours, invoicing used to mean juggling spreadsheets, PDFs, and accounting emails. Fakturownia makes that process simple and clean.

So far it just works. It has plenty of language settings and it is all set up for the new accounting changes with KSeF.

Even better, the company offers generous discounts for non-profit organizations, which makes a real difference for small cultural projects like ours.

We’re grateful for their support as we rebuild our infrastructure.
If you run a small organization, arts program, or creative business in Poland, it’s worth taking a look.

Thank you Fakturownia for supporting independent cultural organizations.

This is Post #1 of The Quiet Tech Project.
More tools, experiments, and lessons coming soon.

Hi there friends and family. The Story Center has been sleeping for a while now, but we still have several programs alive and kicking! Creative Summer is coming back for its ninth season of arts education in July and August. Shakespeare Club is planning an exciting world premiere called "Kingdom Come" with a mash up of Shakespeare's characters. And we are now launching The Quiet Tech Project - how to build a creative life and business in a post-big-tech world. Please swim over to our website to find out more and learn about which companies are part of this new journey.
