Today is a deeply meaningful milestone for me.
"Shell Method" officially launched! The book is now available for sale.

I shipped something I had been dreaming about for many years.
From the very first idea... to the final page.
From scattered notes... to a finished, physical release.

This was never a sprint project.
It was written quietly after hours - between full-time work, life responsibilities, and the constant mental load that comes with building things solo.

Which makes today feel like real closure.
Because regardless of what happens next - I delivered it 😇

Start to finish.

And that matters more to me than any metric.

If you’re building something on your own - a game, a book, a product - you know how heavy unfinished work can feel.

Finishing changes that weight completely.

Today, I get to say: it’s done. I did it 💪

I’ve noticed something after over 26 years of working on solo projects (while also working full-time). Finishing isn’t blocked by lack of skill.

It’s blocked by mental overload:
• too many open systems
• constant decision pressure
• unfinished loops draining energy
• no psychological closure between sessions

At some point I started building small internal frameworks just to stay functional and keep shipping.

Not because I wanted to optimize productivity - but because without structure, I was burning out while still “making progress.”

There were periods where I’d spend weeks jumping between systems, feeling busy but finishing nothing.

The work itself wasn’t the hardest part - carrying all the unfinished mental weight was.

Over time those private survival tools evolved into something more structured - I ended up writing it down as a short book:
📘 Shell Method: Mental Framework for Survival in Solo Game Development

It focuses purely on the mental architecture behind solo creation. Not productivity hacks - more like cognitive survival tools.

The photo below shows the physical Polish edition that I already have on my desk - seeing it printed for the first time was a surreal moment after years of building things mostly invisible to others.

EN & PL release: Feb 18, 2026:
• Ebook & Paperback - Amazon (EN)
• Ebook & POD - Empik (PL)
• Ebook - Naffy (PL)

If anyone here is also building alone, I’d genuinely be curious:
What drains you more - scope… or mental fragmentation?
