Tipping Point - Art in the Time of the Climate Crisis
The exhibition project Tipping Point is based on the understanding of the present as a period of accelerated transformation that cannot be comprehended through a single perspective, place, or temporal framework. According to the theorist Timothy Morton, changes in the environment, landscape, social relations, material conditions, and personal experience do not constitute a single, unified thematic whole. Rather, they form a collection of dispersed phenomena that gradually permeate everyday experience.
The exhibition features works by students from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, the Academy of Arts in Banská Bystrica, the Department of Fine Arts and Intermedia at the Technical University of Košice (TUKE), the Faculty of Fine Arts at Brno University of Technology, and the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw.
