OK guys. So as always I've got a lot of frequent questions (well nothing really new for me just after every passing OG tournament)
So it looks like this
project is closed - final version is VM 2014
fortunately for newcomers there is a database made by Bartek Ożóg for you know last season 2023/2024
To be honest I know for example that now even very conservative schedule for OG now have a brand new formula. This is modest free game so you will get an old one. Still it is the best you can play. For free or even paid one probably.

Some of you ask me to give you a permanent link to download VM 2014 easily
So its not our site- its some reliable well-known polish site for computer games fans- but this is probably a very good permanent link lasting at least for last 10 years and maybe even forever).

Development of game code stopped working in 2014.
I knew the creators personally - just a little bit because many times we were unfortunately not able to meet.
I would say it was rather quite a beautiful story how it was created. Maybe its modest game its not FM (lets be realistic ) but good story of mutual friendship.
So it started like that about 20 years ago. One day Tomasz "Novrain" Slusarek and Wojciech "Wojtas" Sapiecha met in the first grade of a high school in Warsaw (capital city of Poland). As Wojtek told me, he simply started to lose his sight day after day. I don't know exactly what the disease was - I don't remember it honestly today because it was so many years ago. In any case, he was getting more and more visually impaired.
They were really friends for long time and they played some "ships game: or anything possible that could be played by someone who, unfortunately with all his intelligence, slowly became disabled.

How exacly was the VM created? Well, what could a young visually blind boy actually play on PC for spare time in these days? Sorry, but not in Settlers or Age of Empire Heroes Might and Magic or FIFA.
Wojtek, on the other hand, was terribly interested in volleyball and watched even the youth or minor tournaments at the time- thats the reason in the datebase you can find so many unfulfilled talents from these tournaments
Well lets be clear - the volleyball is very well described by match statistics itself. For sure much better than football for example.
Oh and thank God Championship Manager later known as Football Manager had at this time only text matches in these ancient time (you young people maybe simple don't remember it anymore).

Well what could have arisen from this? VM of course. Once, in 2009, I had a terribly stupid dream that I was at some funeral, probably Wojtek. Well, but can life be so fu***ng unfair for such a cool young man? He actually did not a lot in 2009 with creating for a new database because he was just secretive. And at the end of September 2009 I was at Wojtek's funeral in Warsaw's Powazki cementary. Cancer, unfortunately, does not choose
And Novrain- don't judge him hastily- he made the game. But he was 2.02 m tall and unfortunately played basketball, probably even in our 2nd league. He was not really a volleyball fan and he created the game for his friend Wojtek. Well, sorry, when his friend died under 30 as for me he simply lost his heart to play with the code.

New database for season 2022/2023 by Bartek Ożóg- if you will need password to unpack it - its simplest one - vm. Once more vm.

Once again, we managed to convince the main Creator to enable us to play from the beginning of the 2022/23 games by changing the starting date.
Additionally, a packed, small graphic file is attached, the implementation of which in the right places is a sine qua non condition for running the game. Just unpack it and copy three files to the "flags" and "teams" folders.
Then you can just choose for example Perugia and win everything you can with dream-team pair of receivers of Semeniuk - Leon.
If someone likes a bit more challenging missions you can try your luck with ZAKSA in order to win the third consecutive Champions League gold medal and outplay all rivals in PlusLiga like the mighty Jastrzębie or very strong teams of Warta Zawiercie or Resovia Rzeszów and Skra Bełchatów.
In the case of Skra, contrary to appearances, it is not enough to attack all the time their libero 😉.
And anyway you have much easier task with than ZAKSA than in "in real life", because at the start of the season you have a great Huber at your disposal, who in fact will come back to the game only after a few months.
And if anyone really likes "hardcore missions", keep Volley Club Barkom Lwów in PlusLiga !!

I would like to inform that for last time our game author gave as a permission so there will be final database for new season 2021/2022 made by Bartek Ożóg. You should check for new database on Sunday this week.

Let me note 2 important informations because I see new threads and PM in this topic all the time recently
There will be probably no new database for the upcoming 2021/2022 season for current final VM 2014, because the original author of the game made it very clear last year that the last database for the 2020/2021 season was already the final one to make changes to the game code as the only author of the code he gave his permission - I recommend because Bartek Ożóg wrote about it last year.
The only real chance for a new database seems to be a brand-new VM, based on a completely new gamecode - from what I see because I don't think I will reveal any great secrets. So in the VM developers group I personally don't see any new posts for more or less February 2021, unless someone will lead me out of this terrible cognitive bias, but I guess that's the way it is.
Therefore, I am pasting this as an global announcement.

If someone was wondering if anything was happening in the matter of creating a new VM, today I got acquainted with the topic a bit and the answer is that of course, work is underway and it is definitely not that nothing is happening. As for details, let it remain a secret as long as the authors themselves do not announce the results of their work, I would only like to reassure people who probably think that if there is no news, the works are abandoned. Well, I would like to inform them that work is ongoing.
As for the disclosure of the results, as I say it would be tactless if I disclosed them and not those who are actually working on new VM 2.0. Today I met with my friends (of course, thanks to Zoom, the pandemic is going on) and I decided to determine if any work is in progress. They are ongoing and the authors are working, so let them disclose the results of their work in due time because many people think that the group administrator is definitely creating the game. Unfortunately, I do not create games because I do not know computer science, but probably together with my brother Marcin we are probably some kind of connector because we know the stories of VM from the earliest times. It was 2005 and a long time has passed since then and I have a chance to compare the work of the first and the new contemporary team and I think that this flour will be bread.
By the way, these people who make up the first VM are maybe absent from the group, but I still have them in my friends group. One friend recently got married I always enjoyed creating a new VM more than just playing VM

Tak tylko gdyby ktoś się zastanawiał czy w ogóle cokolwiek dzieje się w sprawie powstania nowego VM to dzisiaj trochę zapoznawałem sie z tematem i odpowiedz jest taka że oczywiscie prace się toczą i nie jest na pewno tak że nic sie nie dzieje. Co do szczegółow to niech to pozostanie tajemnica dopoki sami autorzy nie ogłosza wyników swojej pracy chciałbym tylko uspokoić osoby które pewnie myśla że skoro nie ma żadnych wiadomości to prace są zarzucone. No to informuje że nie są i prace trwają.
Co do ujawniania wyników to jak mówie byłoby nietaktem gdybym ja je ujawnił a nie ci co rzeczywiscie nad nimi pracuja. Tak tylko spotkałem sie dzisiaj ze znajomymi (oczywiscie przez Zooma w koncu trwa pandemia) i postanowiłem ustalic czy jakies prace trwaja. Trwaja i autorzy pracuja wiec niech to oni w stosownym czasie ujawnia wyniki swojej pracy bo wiele osób mysli że administrator grupy to na pewno tworzy gre. Niestety ja gry nie tworze bo na informatyce sie niestety nie znam aczkolwiek pewnie razem z bratem Marcinem jestesmy pewnie jakims łacznikiem bo historie VM znamy od czasow najdawniejszych. Byl to rok 2005 szmat czasu od tamtego czasu minął i mam szanse porównac prace pierwszej i nowej współczesnej ekipy i mysle ze z tej mąki bedzie chleb.
Swoja droga te osoby tworzace pierwszego VM sa moze nieobecne grupie ale nadal mam je w grupie znajomych. Jeden kolega jakos ostatnio sie ozenił. Zawsze jakos tworzenie nowego VM bardziej mnie rajcowało niz sama gra w VM.
