🔥We’re delighted to announce that two paintings by Magdalena Karpińska, “Music for a Panic Attack” and “Marshmallow,” have joined the collection of the ING Polish Art Foundation.

🕷️Both works were presented as part of Karpińska’s solo exhibition “Music for a Panic Attack” at the Polana Institute (Feb 21–Mar28, 2026), an intimate reflection bringing two profoundly different experiences of loss and new beginnings into dialogue.

The painting “Marshmallow” is now on view at the 1. Floor Gallery located next to Przelew Café in the Plac Unii building in Warsaw, PL.

💥We’re pleased to see these works become part of the ING Polish Art Foundation Collection!

Introducing — a new series of conversations with the artists represented by and connected to the gallery. Through these interviews, we explore their practices, ideas, inspirations, and the questions that shape their work. ✨

To launch the series, we’re delighted to feature Irini Karayannopoulou—a visual artist and filmmaker based in Athens, Greece. Her multidisciplinary practice spans painting, collage, drawing, artists’ editions, curatorial projects, and moving image. She is the editor of “JANUS Femzine,” co-founder of the artist duo “Extra-Conjugale,” and co-pilot of “Twin Automat Films.” 💙

In this first conversation, we focus on one of the central themes of her practice: self-portraiture. What does it mean to her, and why does it occupy such a significant place in her work? We also talk about the beginning of her interest in self-portraiture and what has been inspiring her lately. 🔮

A postcard from Bielefeld 🌞 Julia Platt studio visit at Artists Unlimited 🐇

As the 119th guest artist of Artist Unlimited, Julia Platt is presenting the works she created in Bielefeld at the end of her three-month residency.

This series of intimate oil paintings explores the experience of navigating unfamiliar surroundings while searching for moments of comfort, connection, and belonging. Through quite observations of everyday life, the works reveal how a temporary place can gradually begin to feel like home, how it can transform both perception and artistic process.

💥 Opening next week: Patryk Różycki x Muzeum Sztuki Nowoczesnej w Warszawie

A display of works by Patryk Różycki accompanies the “Edward Dwurnik. Shame and Pride” exhibition. Titled “Transformation,” it showcases a selection of paintings created between 2021 and 2024, dealing with the artist’s childhood and adolescence in the countryside—marked by socio-economic exclusion amid Poland’s transition of the 1990s.

👼🏼 May 13 — August 8, 2026 👼🏼

“House of Nisaba: New Stories of Painting” at Moderna Museet invites viewers to explore how painting continues to evolve as a medium for storytelling.

🐦‍🔥 Figurative painting is experiencing a remarkable resurgence, with a new generation of artists redefining what painting can communicate today. Drawing inspiration from mythology and history alongside fashion, mysticism, astrology, cinema, social media, and science fiction, they create rich visual languages that reflect the complexity of contemporary life.

🔅Named after Nisaba, the ancient Mesopotamian goddess who became associated with writing and storytelling, the exhibition reimagines her as a symbolic patron of today’s painters. Through their works, the artists present new narratives that connect the past with the present and imagine new possibilities for the future.
