Rozmowa przybliży siedmioletni proces wiodący przez Rouen, Gdańsk i Wiedeń. O tym, co te wystawy łączy głębiej niż obecny w tytułach kolor. Wystawa 𝙆𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙧𝙜𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙨𝙢 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙒𝙖𝙧𝙨𝙖𝙬 ma charakter procesualny. Ekspozycja jest zmienna, uzupełniają ją spotkania, rozmowy i oprowadzania z udziałem artysty, kuratorów i krytyków.

The conversation will trace a seven-year process spanning Rouen, Gdańsk, and Vienna. What connects these exhibitions at a deeper level than the colour present in their titles? Why did Blejzyk turn to pixel reduction at a certain point? And what role does sound play in relation to the image?

The exhibition 𝙆𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙧𝙜𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙨𝙢 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙒𝙖𝙧𝙨𝙖𝙬 is processual in nature. The display continues to evolve, complemented by talks, conversations, and walkthroughs with the artist, curators, and critics.

„𝙆𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙧𝙜𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙨𝙢 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙒𝙖𝙧𝙨𝙖𝙬 serves as a complement to Przemysław Blejzyk’s exhibition trilogy. It is also the artist’s first solo exhibition in Warsaw.

The previous three projects (‚Kolorytm’ at the Centre d’Art Contemporain in Rouen, ‚Koloor’ at the National Museum in Gdańsk, and ‚Kolorganism’ at the Künstlerhaus in Vienna) were stages of a single research process: studying color in nature, constructing a chromatic synthesis, and developing the relationship between the point-pixel, the line, and the plane. Each of these exhibitions expanded the spectrum of Blejzyk’s painting with new approaches, media, and display strategies. Gradually, a multifaceted system emerged, not as an end in itself, but as an attempt to answer the question Blejzyk constantly poses: what makes the relationship between the elements of a painting inevitable, and what determines that a painting is complete? At its foundation are two theories treated as tools. Strzemiński’s concept of mobile vision—the superimposition of successive gazes while observing a landscape that is never static—and Kandinsky’s analysis of the mutual relationship between point and line in relation to the picture plane, present in Blejzyk’s logic of the picture element.” - Cezary Hunkiewicz

Przemysław Blejzyk ( ), born 1988 in Łódź, lives and works in Gdynia. A multidisciplinary artist working at the intersection of painting, digital and generative art, and public art. His current practice focuses on formal aspects and strategies of perception, exploring the relationship between the analog and digital worlds in pursuit of a new language for painting.

A graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź (2012), where contact with the legacy of Strzemiński and Kobro shaped his approach to space, colour, and the role of the viewer. Since 2016 his practice has undergone a radical transformation, evolving from figurative painting towards a synthesis of landscape and abstraction. Working through the language of reduction — from shape and point to pixel — he builds painterly compositions based on a multi-level deconstruction of landscape, alongside kinetic images that speak about nature through the prism of passing time described through colour.

He has exhibited solo at the National Museum in Gdańsk, Künstlerhaus in Vienna, and Centre d’Art Contemporain in Rouen, and in group shows at Petit Palais in Paris, Grand Palais Immersif, Kordegarda. Gallery of the National Centre for Culture and Hive Center for Contemporary Art in Beijing.

Centrum Sztuki Współczesnej otwiera się dla miłośników i miłośniczek druku, kolekcjonerów i kolekcjonerek, ale również dla wszystkich osób, które dopiero odkrywają różnorodność sceny wydawniczej. W czasach cyfrowego nadmiaru targi Nobody Reads This to okazja, żeby skupić się na osobistym, namacalnym doświadczeniu obcowania z książką. To też przestrzeń spotkania wydawców, projektantów, artystów – okazja do rozmowy i wymiany doświadczeń.

BD to niezależne polskie wydawnictwo działające na styku sztuki współczesnej i oddolnych inicjatyw twórczych. Specjalizuje się w publikacjach o sztuce – od monografii i katalogów wystaw po ziny i eksperymentalne formy druku. Współpracuje z artystami z Polski i zagranicy, w tym z twórcami nowojorskiej sceny artystycznej lat 70. i 80. Publikacje BD tworzą przestrzeń dialogu między teorią a praktyką artystyczną, często łącząc materiały archiwalne z nowymi narracjami wizualnymi.

Na stoisku znajdziesz zarówno katalogi, monografie, jak i edycje kolekcjonerskie takich twórców jak: .kirk    

Część publikacji prezentowana jest wyłącznie jako egzemplarze archiwalne, nieprzeznaczone do sprzedaży.

Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art invites print enthusiasts and collectors, as well as those discovering the richness of the publishing scene. In an era of digital saturation, it offers a moment to focus on the personal and tangible experience of engaging with a book. Nobody Reads This fair also serves as a meeting place for publishers, designers and artists, providing space for conversation and mutual learning.

BD is an independent Polish publishing house operating at the intersection of contemporary art and grassroots creative initiatives. It specialises in art publications – from monographs and exhibition catalogues to zines and experimental print formats. The publishing house collaborates with artists from Poland and abroad, including creators associated with New York’s art scene of the 1970s and 1980s. BD’s publications offer a platform for dialogue between theory and artistic practice, frequently combining archival materials with innovative visual narratives.
