Ever After Story

So, life happens and today marks my eighth year together with one beautiful human that I found under a rock and took home (his words tho!).

I'm not usually the type to be cheesy about things, but I kind of figured today I can make an exception for myself and look back at what happened. Most of you know about this already as it's been a few months, but I've never shown the pictures publicly in their full, unadulterated glory. Of course, that's not all of them, since the full photoshoot is in my private collection, but sharing some here sounds right for today.

The story behind these is K R Ó L remembering I always wanted to have a storytelling photoshoot, but what I didn't expect him to do was team up with malimoria during Pyrkon (who hid everything from me like the absolute pro she is, thank you for making this so magical) and actually turn it into real life storytelling. Words can't describe the confusion on my face when it clicked for me why the heck he was so nervous. Mfer even managed to show the ring to our friends and I didn't see A THING. And he remembered to time it for when I'd had my nails done!

Cheesy? Yes. But beautiful and I absolutely wouldn't change a thing? Also yes. Cosplay is a big part of our lives and we met through it, so it kind of all fits together, doesn't it?

Truth is, even if I don't want to delve into details as this should stay between us, we've had our ups and downs and it's an absolutely normal thing. What I can share is that this time the ring will stay on my finger until it's changed to another one ❤️

So, thank you my dear for keeping up with my mood swings and dealing with my bu****it for all these years and you'll have all eternity to deal with more, hope you're ready for it. Love you ❤️

Now I'm off to cook some food for the evening ❤️

Finally I can show you Maria in all her glory (minus the gloves, which were graciously lent to me by Jinx when I lost mine in my basement), and featuring Richard the owl! He's my son, I made him myself and I love him very much. malimoria was patient enough to let me spend a few minutes getting him balanced on my hand, and the result was so worth it that this might be the prettiest I've ever felt in a photo.

And just as birds always find their way back to their owners, Maria came home too. Our costumes have an absurd track record of wandering off on their own adventures, one got lost in transit and only reached the customer three months later, while another vanished with an airline and cost us a whole day of work. This time they decided to extend their stay at PixelMania and spent a week sitting in a sorting centre there lol

I'm putting airtags into every single suitcase and package from now on, I swear-

August is in full bloom and while it's not Halloween season yet (blasphemy, it's Halloween all year round 😏), I had to share my very first PixelMania photo from this year!

I was supposed to post these much earlier, but life got in the way to the point I was barely able to get on my phone, let alone post anything! So consider this my official return to posting, and I'm so happy it gets to start with this set, Pixel photos coming later! ❤️

These photos are really special to us. We finally managed to catch malimoria during Pyrkon, which felt like a small miracle with how the con weekend went. There's something about photographing with people you've wanted to work with for ages that just hits different, and this was exactly that.

There's also another reason these are close to our hearts, but that's a story I'm saving for a little later 👀

Our Beetlejuice skit for prelims is here! We're proud to show you the end result of our hard work and, as I found out later, pretty much what made me speak like an old hag the next day (the track did have a scream inserted into it, but in the adrenaline I actually screamed myself on stage, and apparently it could be heard even in the back of the hall lol).

It took us two years of planning the entire thing, four iterations of a quick change, months of research into Broadway, a wig that flew off along with the black dress during rehearsals, and ultimately, the "f it, let's ball" attitude. Making a quick change work in full view was scary, but it went well!

The biggest challenge was adhering to the ICL rules while still keeping the characters intact. 80s movies have a very specific attitude that we couldn't replicate in how these two behave, and we wanted to abstain from oversexualising the topic, so we chose what himself dubbed the "drunken uncle at your wedding" 😂

The topic of the skit ultimately ended up being very ironic, but that's a story for the future 👀

The warmest thank you here goes to for creating Biggie Boom Boom, the song that started all of this. This performance wouldn't exist without you, and we really hope it does your song justice 🖤

Huge thanks to for recording the performance! The video comes with a music overlay courtesy of .by.mru, because technicians cranked the bass to the point where our mirror was physically shaking behind us (we love you still, and thank you for the fancy on-beat lights!). Cover photo by 🖤

We're still in shock but... as of yesterday, WE'RE THE 2027 DUO REPRESENTATIVES! 🇵🇱🥟 ALONGSIDE Wero, WHO'S OUR SOLO REP!

This whole competition has been a ride from the start. The skit was born from an excerpt of an unpublished song in August 2024; the second it dropped, I ran to K R Ó L to ask if he'd perform at Ryucon again. Life pushed us from the 2025 qualifiers to 2026. We chose Betelgeuse and Lydia to honor Tim Burton and test our durability: the quick change was planned first and finished last, through four iterations, an ungodly amount of hand-sewn magnets, hysterics (fixed by a hug from King lol) and the dread of "if I stop, I'll never finish this." The last weeks were a blur but we gave it our best and by grace of fate it was enough!

Absolute thanks go to the jury, , Ania Rottau and Elenya Frost, for ultimately choosing us. We know the decision was hard, and we want to thank you for putting your trust in us! You were absolutely lovely during the judging, and we won't let you down ❤️ Special thanks to Shappi Workshop, Laura Daria Sequin and for top of the world contest, and to Kyakka for the behind-the-scenes work and keeping us hydrated ❤️

To our dear runners-up, .cos and : competing with you was an absolute blast, and HUGE CONGRATULATIONS U BAES, we're waiting for the Gongaga b**r in Madrid soon ❤️
