In 2026 it feels like it’s only in Poland that you can do something like this.

I’ve left in Austria, Spain, the UK South Africa, and the Dominican Republic as my Home country and in the current reality I feel this is the only place where something like this can be done and still feel totally safe.

“CURIOSITY IS A LOVE LANGUAGE” I read somewhere and I found it fascinating because it’s actually true!

When you display curiosity towards someone and the things they like and what they’re into, you are showing them that you are interested in who they are and that strengthens your relationship. It solidifies a bond and build connection.

But in some cultures like Polish, being TOO curious and asking TOO many questions can actually be taken as nosey and rude.

Although from own personal experience treating poles for many many years, I still think there is a way to be curious and to ask without making them feel uncomfortable, and I would not have been able to build a life in this country and make friendships I’ve made if I had not connected with those people through healthy curiosity.

Sopot is such an incredible city, in my opinion, unlike any other city in Poland sometimes it feels like you are in another country!
