Excerpt from my workshop Why Smart People Say Dumb Things.

Let’s talk about the concept of “being an interesting person”.
I do agree that we should strive to become the most interesting version of ourselves by acquiring knowledge, live experiences, doing fun things and growing as people, but there are moments to display how interesting you are as a person, but when you talk to someone for the first time, or when you find yourself interacting with people you’re not yet close to, that’s not the moment to display how great you are.

The main objective of all new interactions is to create a connection, and is very difficult to do so if all you’re trying to do is show off your personality, or your accomplishments instead you should look for things that make the other person interesting so that you can build that connection by showing them that you can see who they are and that you can appreciate things in them.

Don’t try to be interesting, instead let the other person feel interesting.

Yesterday we held the very first workshop ‘Why Smart People Say Dumb Things”.

What are these workshops you may ask? This is a new venture of ours making use of the more than 15 years of my professional experience in communication, cultural analysis, content creation, public performances and international relations to create fun, useful, insightful workshops tailored to life in Poland.

This was a pilot event, and it couldn’t have gone any better. A dream, to be honest.

it couldn’t have happened without my amazing wife Karolina who behind the scenes took care of so many things that I simply suck at and her driving determination, smarts and insightfulness made this event possible. ❤️

Thank you to the lovely people of KALBAS CARIBBEAN RESTAURANT, Daria and Yves for opening the door to their home to us and letting us enjoy this in a family like setting. Yves put his golden touch and prepared some amazing Caribbean food for our attendees. I highly recommend you guys go to this restaurant to enjoy some really delicious authentic Caribbean food.

To everyone that attended thank you so much for placing your trust on a first event that outside of my content online, did not yet have any social and professional proof. Your assistance made all the difference in the world.
