Warsaw Chamber Opera in few words!

The Warsaw Chamber Opera is a music institution with over 50 years of history. It was founded in 1961 by Stefan Sutkowski, later a long-time general and artistic director, Joanna and Jan Kulm, Zofia Wierchowicz, Andrzej Sadowski and Juliusz Borzym. The first premiere of the team was "La Serva Padrona" by G.B. Pergolesi, made on September 4, 1961. The repertoire of the Chamber Opera is characterised by a vast variety of musical styles and forms of presented works: from medieval mysteries, through early and late Baroque operas, classical operas, eighteenth-century pantomimes, for modern stage pieces, several of which were commissioned by the Warsaw Chamber Opera. Opera artists also successfully perform chamber music, oratorio and symphonic music of different eras.
