Together with Joanna Ambroz, we are proud to launch the Incubator Space at The Contemporary Art Modern Project with our joint exhibition, (Human) Nature.

Balancing personality as a marker of nature between the two artists leads Ambroz to explore the internal where Zych infuses the natural environment with suggestive eroticism representing the external. Considering also that for one to understand human nature, and nature itself - they should recognize that these ideas are composed notions (…), one can see that when placed side by side both Ambroz and Zych create a balance in their approaches. For example, Ambroz composes stark landscapes of personality and the internal. When dissecting the works of Zych, (…) what is key to her work is the idea of flourishing, blooming, erupting and all that is needed for any of those actions to happen. Taking the silencing of distraction and flavoring that silence with the opportunity for renewal is finally how these two topically different artist are able, when joined together to offer insight into how varied and unpredictable nature, both in the natural world and in humans is really what makes existence interesting.

The exhibition is on view at The CAMP Gallery, 791 NE 125th St, North Miami, FL – until the end of January 2025.

Równoważenie osobowości jako wyznacznika natury w twórczości obu artystek prowadzi Ambroz do eksploracji tego, co wewnętrzne, podczas gdy Zych wzbogaca naturalne środowisko o sugestywną erotykę, reprezentując to, co zewnętrzne. Aby zrozumieć ludzką naturę i samą naturę, należy uznać, że są to pojęcia złożone (…), co staje się widoczne, gdy zestawi się twórczość Ambroz i Zych obok siebie – wówczas ujawnia się równowaga ich podejść. Trzy tygodnie temu urodziła się Urszula, której na patronkę wybraliśmy Ursulę le Guin.
W moim porodzie nie poszło zgodnie z planem, a ja zostałam mamą równocześnie mierząc się z chorobą. Dziś zaczynam cieszyć się znów zdrowiem i rodzicielstwem poznając spektrum emocji, lęku i wrażliwości na drugą istotę, którego wcześniej nie znałam.
Obraz „Rodząca” namalowałam w oczekiwaniu na narodziny Uli, przepoczwarzając się i czekając na wyłonienie się nowego — ze mnie i we mnie. Obraz przedstawia moment rodzenia tego co jeszcze niezdefiniowane, ale jest jasne, pełne i gotowe wyłonić się z matki.

Three weeks ago, Urszula was born, whom we chose to name after Ursula Le Guin as her patron. My childbirth did not go according to plan, and I became a mother while also facing illness. Today, I am beginning to enjoy health and motherhood, experiencing a spectrum of emotions, fears, and sensitivity toward another being that I had not known before.

The painting "Giving birth” was created while I was waiting for Ula's birth, as I transformed and awaited the emergence of something new—both from within me and within myself. The painting depicts the moment of birthing something undefined yet, but clear, full, and ready to emerge from the mother.
