The Last Castle
Polish Castle-ness: From Wawel to Stobnica
26.03–28.06.2026

Part of the exhibition is our installation, created together with Mariia Kolomiitseva, in collaboration with Zuzanna Bartoszek, Wiktoria Kieniksman, Ant Łakomski, Kuba Stępień, and Paweł Donhoffner Zięba.

Curated by
The project introduces the concept of “castleness” as a cultural perception of an object as a castle, shaped by collective imagination rather than by its authentic history.

The exhibition opens this week and can be visited from Friday, 27.03, Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00–17:00

Opening at 14.03.2026 in Beijing

“At Inside-Out Art Museum, two-part exhibition explores how artists generate mood and atmosphere within the white cube. It reveals how ambiance is shaped through works, displays, and juxtapositions.

The exhibition functions as a Gesamtkunstwerk embracing beauty, mistakes, and play. Featuring thirty Chinese and international artists, it interrogates exhibition-making itself, examining how curators and artists navigate the complexities of shaping an exhibition. It focuses on where it truly begins, not at the opening, but in the curatorial decisions made beforehand.”

Castles are everywhere in Poland. Old ones, new ones, rebuilt ones, imagined ones. Existing monuments are swelling, reconstruction follows reconstruction, and castles are appearing where none existed before. Despite criticism and enormous costs, these investments continue to thrive.

We warmly invite you to visit “The Last Castle”, an exhibition curated by at the

❤️ Opening soon!!
📍 Pałac pod Blachą, Royal Castle in Warsaw
📅 March 26 – June 28, 2026

The exhibition features works by Nicolas Grospierre, Marta Ejsmont, and Mateusz Pawlukiewicz, and the installation created by us and Mariia Kolomiitseva in collaboration with Zuzanna Bartoszek, Wiktoria Kieniksman, Ant Łakomsk, Kuba Stępień, and Paweł Donhöffner Zięba. The installation proposes a critical reworking of “castle-ness”, reducing the castle to a recognizable archetype and relieving it of the weight of monumentality.

See you at the castle 🏰✨
