LET ME OUT/IN, Audio/Visual Puppet Performance, 2023
„LET ME OUT/IN” is based on puppetry performance, by Prof.Ewelina Ciszewska as a part of
Analyses based on body movements of the performer and translating movements into sound by Sefa Sagir and visuals by Bartosz Wyszynski.
The essence of „LET ME IN/OUT” is its ability to respond to the movements of the performer. Through a subtle touch screen made by fabric, viewers or performers stimulate the visual and sound and auditory experience of the space.
Sounds will be generated by using a modular synthesizer to respond to gestures, creating a dynamic symphony of visuals and soundscapes.
We focused on merging new media and performing arts to explore the captivating realm of biometric signals, vibrations and human interactions in space. By harnessing the electromagnetic fields generated through human movements, this performance transforms vibrations into a symphony of sound, triggering immersive visuals and lights that shape an interactive space.
The installation aims to explore the relationship between human presence and the animated world of technology. It highlights the power of interaction in shaping artistic expression and demonstrates the inherent connection between art, technology, and human present.
„LET ME OUT/IN” invites participants to go beyond the role of passive observers, encouraging them to actively engage in the artistic process. Bridging the gap between audience and installation, it becomes a testament to the potential of human touch and movement to breathe life into static forms.
On the deep connections between humanity and spaces, perceptions we inhabit.
