The crowned eagle as a ceremonial figure.
Cast as a single brass volume and fully gilded in 23-karat gold, the object reveals chiselled details of feathers, crown and beak - a tension between organic form and the restrained blade line.
The dark-green case with gilded hinges, lined with white satin, acts as micro-architecture - part of the composition rather than packaging.
This piece belongs to a series in which functional tools become figural objects. They do not serve a function - they elevate a gesture.

KALMARS - a contemporary modular object in 23K gold

Kalmars is my own atelier term for a contemporary modular object created at Kostylo Atelier as a response to the need for a new aesthetic in workspace design.
It is not a historical inkwell - it is a new atelier category, designed for fountain pens, writing instruments and a smartphone.

Every element is handcrafted: from the first sketch and structural development to the final finish.
The base is gilded with 23-karat Italian light gold, and the modules form an architecture of light, proportion and sculptural function.

Kalmars does more than organize space.
It defines it ceremonially.

A fully authored piece - created in the atelier, in the spirit of contemporary collectible design.

Lotus - a figural module for a light sculpture, crafted at Kostylo Atelier from brass, 23K gold and striped flint.
The object presents an open structure, hand-forming, silver soldering and the modulation of light across polished surfaces.
Lotus operates as part of a larger light-based composition - an architecture of material, light and stone within a unified figural structure.

The lotus in motion - a sculpture, a ring, a component of a larger light sculpture.

The object was created through a process rooted in heat, metal, and goldsmithing precision.
Each arc was hand‑bent, shaped under high temperature, and silver‑soldered.
The entire structure is gilded with 23-karat gold, forming a surface that interacts with light.

At the center lies striped flint - a rare stone with geological memory, known as the “stone of optimism.”
In nature, the lotus protects its core; here, that core becomes a material of light, set into metal.

This piece is part of a larger light sculpture, where stone, metal, and gold form a unified narrative.
Housed in a deep-green Kostylo Atelier case with custom Italian-gilded hinges and clasps, it rests on white satin that highlights the contrast between the stone’s luminosity and the weight of the metal.

At Kostylo Atelier, every object begins with material.
The deep-green case opens slowly, revealing a construction that guides light and proportion.
White satin protects the interior, while bespoke gilded hinges and clasps define the rhythm of opening.

At the centre lies a writing set gilded with 23‑karat Italian gold - an object conceived as micro-architecture.
Its Art Deco-inspired corners establish proportion rather than decoration.
Inside the housing, rare striped flint is inlaid and polished to a mirror finish.

A material that resists intervention - and therefore grants the object its sovereignty.
Entirely hand-crafted, with full focus on process, construction and the truth of material.

A Tsarist figural object shaped in gold and silver - a composition where form becomes symbol and material carries meaning.
The sculpted double‑headed eagle defines the axis of the structure. Not as ornament, but as the element that anchors the narrative and preserves continuity.
Light moves across the surfaces, revealing hand-chased details and the architecture of metal that gives the piece its character.
A work where disciplined form meets historical code, and contemporary craftsmanship enters into dialogue with Tsarist iconography.

Opening the atelier’s presentation case is always a moment when matter begins to speak.
The dark-green box lined with white satin reveals a Tsarist object - a jewel box gilded with 23-karat gold, carrying the iconography of the Russian double-headed eagle.
The handle shows two eagles flanking the imperial crown, silvered for contrast; the corners form massive, hand-chased eagles.

This is not ornament, but work on memory.
Tsarist iconography - created in homage to the Fabergé tradition - becomes a language of custody.
Gilding, silvering and chasing form an architecture of meaning in which every detail is an interpretation, and every act of preservation shapes authorship.

This film shows only the gesture of unveiling.
In the next one, the Tsarist box will appear in its full presence.

A sculptural Coco Chanel buckle - a piece born from a creative impulse.
The emblem is transformed into a wave-like Art Deco line that behaves like light rather than ornament.
Gilded in 23-karat gold, set with striped flint and paired with natural black leather, the materials come together to form a truly distinctive object.

Presented in a dark-green atelier case lined with white satin and fitted with custom gold‑plated hinges, the buckle becomes more than an accessory - it becomes a functional sculpture, crafted as a luxury artefact.

The Lotus Ring Sculpture was created at Kostylo Atelier as a fully autonomous figural artwork - not as jewelry, but as a sculptural object in its own right.

Every element was crafted entirely by hand: shaped, silver-soldered, polished and gilded.
At the center lies striped flint - an extremely rare collector’s stone known as the “stone of optimism.” Its natural bands form the heart of the lotus, protected by three concentric rings of petals, eight petals in each circle.

Each petal was metal‑plastically formed from 3 mm brass, exposed to high temperature, hand-shaped and silver-soldered. Although they create a harmonious whole, every petal remains unique - just as in nature.

The base of the sculpture represents a lotus leaf. A special opening was carved into it to reveal the underside of the striped flint - the same stone that forms the central “eye” of the sculpture.

The entire piece was precisely polished, copper‑sealed to close micro-pores, and gilded with bright 23-karat Italian gold.

This is an original figural sculpture, designed and created entirely at Kostylo Atelier.
