That Acidic Plains research mission - the one with the Yeast and the constant enemy waves - felt overwhelming for a reason. The Yeast spreads faster than anywhere else in the game. The Acid-Resistant Floors were handed to you right before the mission, set up to be misused. The space you had to work with kept shrinking. None of it was accidental.
