Coming Dec 16 - Fireworks!
To celebrate a year in flight simming and to thank you all for the support I've made an add-on with fireworks. Not only for New Year's Eve but for other occasions like 4th July in the USA, Diwali in India, 5th November in the UK, and others.

I must admit, I've forgotten about FB profile a bit. So if you missed it, you can grab a brand new Region 1 update.

It adds all of Africa, smoke effects, cooling towers, and many fixes.

Region 2 is finally available! North and South America and part of Oceania. Almost 200.000 objects. Data not only from OpenStreetMap anymore, but also FAA, NOAA, and other countries authorities. For the first time smoke effects (experimental)!

12.000 downloads? When did that happened? Thank you everyone :) Did you think we're gone? Nah, we've been busy working on the new version of We Love VFR. Maaaany changes in code, but the most important thing is the new type of objects. Chimneys are coming.

The most complicated algorithm so far that takes into account not only tags but also location, country and other properties. Adding to that we've manually placed all chimneys taller than 280 m to make them more accurate. The end goal is to do that for all over 140 m, but it will take more time. Oh, and we made almost 100 chimney variants for this... still not enough.

First of all Happy Holidays. For at least a few days let's all forget about how "great" this year was.
Because of death in the family and me catching covid I had to postpone all modding for a few weeks. But I'm back. The new version is almost done. I hope to release it before New Years Day.

The next update for We Love VFR is coming soon. This time it will be more "eye-candy" update. It will include over 300 radar domes all around Europe. I've created over 15 model variants for different sizes and styles of those unusual objects. And that's not all that I've prepared for this update.

We passed 100000 objects in total. New models for smaller TV/radio towers and algorithm fixes and improvements. Also an OSM data update.

1500 downloads at flightsim.to. That really pushes me to work on the next version.
It's coming in about a week I think. 0.2.0b will feature 2x more objects as many were omitted in the first data gathering. It will also add 5 new mast variants, especially for towers under 200 m. Also some fine-tuning of algorithms, bug fixes, and first small community-based data update.
