Our Kathak Intensive Workshop last weekend was a vibrant three-hour session packed with learning, rhythm, movement, and, of course, lots of fun!

From exploring the theory and fundamentals of *Taal*, to understanding the structure and artistry of a *Tihai*, the session brought together different elements that form the beautiful language of Kathak.

Presenting here a technical composition in *Teentaal (16 matras)* that we explored during the workshop.

🇮🇳 Celebrating the spirit of freedom, unity & diversity! 🇮🇳

This Independence Day, Trayee celebrates the beautiful colours of India through the language we know best — dance. ❤️🤍💚
From Kathak, Bharatanatyam to Sattriya, three classical traditions, three unique expressions, yet one shared soul — India.
May we continue to honour our heritage, preserve our traditions, and carry the spirit of our culture forward, wherever we are in the world.

✨ Happy Independence Day! ✨
Jai Hind! 🇮🇳

Tarana is the vibrant crescendo of Kathak—an exhilarating display of graceful spins, intricate footwork, and rhythmic brilliance. Unlike expressive storytelling pieces, it is woven from melodic syllables that celebrate the beauty of rhythm and movement.

This presentation is set to **Raag Darbari Kanada**, a majestic late-night raga believed to have been composed by the legendary Miyan Tansen for Emperor Akbar's royal court. True to its name, *Darbari* ("of the court"), the raga carries an aura of depth, dignity, and timeless elegance.

We were delighted and honoured🙏🏻 to present different Indian Classical Dance forms along with the Story of "Good Maharaja" - Jam Sahib Digvijaysinhji Ranjitsinhji Jadeja. He is the real-life Indian king who saved hundreds of Polish refugee children during World War II. This marked as one of the stepping stone in building the ties between India🇮🇳 and Poland🇵🇱

We are also greatful to the organisers to have invited us for this day and also to the wonderful audiences present there 😍 we were so happy to have heared some of your beautiful words after the show!!! ❤️❤️❤️
