I had such a fantastic time teaching three classes at Silver Clay Academy recently (huge thank you to all my students and to Emma again! ), but now it is time to think about what's coming later this year 😍💥 If you haven't seen my posts about the ☘️Irish retreat earlier - now it is the best time to make sure you enroll and become a part of this wonderfull experience ✨. 💚If you don't follow my brand Drakonaria then you probably haven't seen the process behind this piece - "Three Realms triskele" 🛠✨.
🧡It is a super special piece, not just because it looks cool 😉 and is a part of my jewellery line, but also because it sums up a theme of a new, unique master metal clay class/retreat I am doing next September in Ireland ☘️, in cooperation with my talented friend Carol Douglas...
✨"Storytelling through wearable sculpture - Land Sea and Sky" is a 7 days retreat at Mulranny Arts 🛠. I went there in March with Carol and fell in love with the place, experiencing magical realms of Land, Sea and Sky and turning this experience into a pendant - silver, wearable memoir of my Irish adventure ☘️.
💚This is how the idea for the retreat was born - to create an experience fueled and studio time oriented week, filled with great fun, discovering amazing landscape of Mulranny's area, and turning all of that into a triskele inspired, complex piece, based on what we see, feel and learn 🛠.
All of that in metal clay technique and under a guidance of two experienced metal clay teachers - that would be me 😁- Anna Mazoń, and one and only Carol Douglas.

I am already in UK and ready to start my classes for Silver Clay Academy ❤️! And this is one of the samples I made a couple of days ago, for my first workshop here - a pumpkin house, here in progress 🔨✨. See you tomorrow!

And... I've just found a work in progress pic for the "Mushroom dreams" pendant 🍄😁. I was playing with details here and building up my openwork design - it's very important for this project to do it step by step and to join all the elements really, really well 📙 ✨.

One of the classes I'll be teaching for Silver Clay Academy based in Berkshire is my "Pumpkin house" class 🎃✨. I just wanted to show you here one the class samples in the making 🛠. This one was made of bronze, as you can see, but in the workshop we are working with silver clay 🙂.

I am super proud to have my "Feel more" necklace in AMCAW - Alliance for Metal Clay Arts Worldwide 2025 calendar 😍. January is even nicer now 😉🔥. It's always worth it to submit your pieces for this kind of printed publications! 🛠📙 It's less of them out there every year...

This piece is called “Feel more” and was inspired by the notion of opening to the softer, more “feeling” side of ourselves.
It was fully hand sculpted, combined with some traditional metalsmithing.

🧡💚Today I want to show you a little experiment which is a mix of my recent "Magical key" class and so many teachers/presenters during Sinter conference talking rivets 🙂🛠. I wanted to try here yet another way of joining key head, key bit and a shank together, also creating a cool mixed metals look.

📙The idea was simple - just join everything with single rivets, taking advantage of the fact, that the tubes incorporated in the key head and the key bit block movement in other directions.
I decided to use for the shank a piece of milled brass wire, for its nice, golden colour.

I just love how many different possibilities riveting adds to your creative arsenal 🧡💚.

Everyone who was there probably already forgot about Sinter conference 😉😁, but I actually only now finally found time to write a couple of words about it - a month later 😆.

I am horrible when comes to taking photos at big events (I simply forget about it 😅) so I can only post here a couple of those taken by other people (🧡!) with me in them, but you can definitely see (or you were there too!) that it was a vibrant, colorful gathering of fantastic, creative souls ✨😍.

It was SO nice to be a part of Sinter 2024. To teach a class, to give presentations, to showcase my work at the Maker's Market, to chat to everyone, to get to know new faces, new stories, to collect new experiences, let the creative ideas bubble 🔥✨
There is nothing like meeting other creative people who love metal clay technique and letting the energy flow 🙂🧙.
