A True Hero in the Skies: Salute to Captain Smit Machchhar!

The world is witnessing the incredible heroism of Indian pilot Captain Smit Machchhar, who averted an unspeakable tragedy at 33,000 feet. While flying FlyDubai Flight FZ1073 from Dubai to Tel Aviv, Captain Smit was brutally attacked and severely injured by his own co-pilot in a terrifying mid-air crisis.

Despite bleeding heavily and fighting for his life on the cockpit floor, Captain Smit's unwavering focus remained on the souls under his care. Summoning every ounce of his remaining strength, he pushed himself up one final time to unlock the cockpit door from the inside.
His presence of mind allowed the crew and passengers to intervene, subdue the attacker, and safely land the aircraft. By doing so, he single-handedly saved the lives of 174 passengers, including 27 innocent children, preventing what could have been a catastrophic tragedy.
In an emotional video call from his hospital bed with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Captain Smit revealed the anchor that held him steady during those chilling moments: the Hanuman Chalisa. He shared that whenever he finds himself in extreme pain or difficult situations, he recites the sacred verses. As the plane was plummeting, he continuously chanted the Hanuman Chalisa, drawing divine moral strength, composure, and courage to make that life-saving final push.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi highly praised Captain Smit's exemplary bravery, patience, and acumen, stating that his valor fills the heart of every Indian with immense pride. In a powerful message to the world, PM Modi highlighted how Captain Smit's selflessness perfectly embodies the core ethos of India and its rich cultural heritage.
He emphasized that India firmly believes in the timeless philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, the idea that the "world is one family." By putting his life on the line to save passengers of diverse nationalities, Captain Smit proved that a true guardian sees no borders, only family.

His bravery stands as a testament to the resilient spirit of humanity, proving that even in the face of absolute darkness and terror, unwavering faith, courage, and the determination to protect human life will always triumph over destruction.

We pray for the speedy recovery and long life of this true guardian of the skies. India and the entire world salute you, Captain Smit Machchar !

World Yoga Day 🧘‍♀️

The "yoga" that the world knows today owes its widespread popularity immensely to the role of the Nath Sampradaya. The tradition of Adinath (Shiva) Matsyendranath–Gorakhnath transformed yoga from mere philosophical thought into a way of life.
