Savatage: Still The Orchestra Plays...

Years of knowing the band have turned into love and obsession 🔥 Today, I have the immense pleasure of sharing with you my latest poster celebrating the legacy of the legendary Savatage and its frontmen, the Oliva brothers! 🤘

Formed in 1983 in Florida, Savatage is an absolutely unique band 🙏 Thanks to Criss Oliva's incredible guitar playing and the powerful, thunderous vocals of his brother Jon, the band stood out from all other heavy metal acts of the time👌 Their gripping melodies and sophisticated songwriting, rooted in classical music, created a magical world you never want to leave 🥹

Savatage’s extensive discography includes countless wonderful songs and unforgettable gems, but it’s the albums Hall of the Mountain King (1987) and its follow-up Gutter Ballet (1990) that I haven’t been able to stop listening to in recent years 💿 The band reached its lyrical peak in that era, and these albums remain heavy/prog metal monuments that ensured their immortality 🤘

That’s why it’s so wonderful to see Savatage return to the stage, where the legacy of Jon and Criss Oliva is celebrated!🔥 Personally, in recent years I have completely lost both my mind and soul to Savatage, and this is the music that accompanies me every day!😎

Candlemass: Epicus Doomicus Metallicus

Just last month, the heavens darkened and the ground split open as we marked exactly 40 years since the birth of Epic Doom Metal! 💀🤘 Even though the official anniversary passed on June 10th, the celebration of this monumental milestone never stops. Today, with immense pride and a heavy heart full of riff-worship, I finally unleash my latest poster celebrating the absolute pinnacle of doom history – the 40th anniversary of Candlemass 's legendary debut masterpiece: "Epicus Doomicus Metallicus"! 🎆🔥

Back in June 1986, Leif Edling and his crew didn't just release an album; they forged a sacred monument of sorrow, majesty, and crushing heaviness 🏛️🎸 From the haunting, melancholic opening of "Solitude" to the apocalyptic grandeur of "A Sorcerer's Pledge", this record defined a whole genre. It proved that metal could be slow as a funeral march, yet powerful enough to move mountains! With Johan Längqvist’s iconic, theatrical vocals, Candlemass created a mystical atmosphere that no one has ever been able to replicate 🕯️✨

For this milestone 40th-anniversary artwork, I poured my entire soul into capturing that raw, ancient, and majestic vibe that we all feel when those first chords strike. It’s a visual tribute to the album that taught us how beautiful sadness and heavy riffs can be when combined by the Swedish lords of doom! 🎨👁️

Four decades later, this record remains the ultimate Bible for every true metal maniac. The doom hunger was born here, and the flame burns brighter than ever! 🔥

This happened when I celebrated "Nightfall", back in 2022 🤌 Remember? 😎

Exactly 35 years ago the world was blessed with the second album record of the swedish lords of doom Candlemass 💀🤘The album that became masterpiece, the essence of epicness and magic, in my opinion the greatest doom metal album of all time 💿 Nightfall. Today, to celebrate the legacy of this magnificent record and the mighty Candlemass I unleash you a special poster dedicated for this 35th anniversary!🎆

Starting with "Gothic Stone" and finishing with "Black Candles" Nightfall is a 46:30 minutes of pure magic 🔥 No words can describe the atmosphere of this record. With the unique vocals delivered by the Messiah Marcolin, the band gained the heaviness that no human has ever experienced💀 The band led by mighty Leif Endling composed 10 anthems, which became the true Well Of Souls for every metalhead alive 🤘 Finally the doom hunger was fulfilled with the proper band and the music that was extraordinary, mystical and powerfull 🔥

Apart from music, this record is unique thanks to the beautiful cover painted by Thomas Cole in his "The Voyage Of Life" cycle 👌 Honestly, this is one of my favourite metal covers ever, which perfectly fits the atmosphere and witchcraft commited on this record🤘

Tonight, let the ground shake and let's celebrate this magnificent record at full volume⛔ May the dead awake! 🔥 Eternal glory for Candlemass and remember...YOU ARE BEWITCHED💀💀💀

Craving something more brutal and even more extreme? 😈 Mystic’s got us covered with the mind-bending cosmic death metal of Blood Incantation , the ultimate tribute to Chuck’s Schuldiner genius with Death To All , and the Swedish black metal war machine Marduk ready to open the gates of hell! 🪓🌌
