One finished Rainbow Modena Pigeon 🌈💖🕊️

And now I'm going to permit myself to do a little infodump about this breed, because who doesn't need more pidgeformation in their lives:

🐦 They're one of the oldest breeds of fancy pigeon, dating back to the early 1300s

🐦 They originate from the city of Modena in Italy, hence the name, but are now bred around the world for show

🐦 Their portly appearance is in part due to the length of their feathers, which can be up to 4 times the length of those of your generic, standard edition pidge, giving them MAXIMUM FLOOF

🐦 They are, however, also a little heavier than your average pidge, weighing in at around 500g vs the usual 350g

🐦 They come in around 150 different colour combinations and patterns, which is more than any other fancy pigeon breed!

Got a bit carried away colour-wise and went far more rainbow than I'd initially intended, but I'm very much enjoying it! 🌈 🕊️

Currently in the hoop: 50% chicken, 50% pigeon, 2000% stunner🐦 🐔 ✨

This Chonky Chap™ is a Modena Pigeon, selectively bred over hundreds of years for maximum röund.

They come in all sorts of fancy colours, but for this one I'm sticking to a classic pidge pallet.
